Castelsardo si affaccia con il suo borgo medievale al centro del Golfo dell'Asinara, nel nord della Sardegna, nella regione dell'Anglona. Grazie a questa posizione la località, gode di un panorama unico e gradevolissimo su tutte le coste del Golfo. Uno dei più bei Borghi d'Italia. Malerisch klebt der kleine Küstenort hoch über dem Meer an einem Felsen. Wenn man sich abends noch ein wenig vom Sonnenbad am Strand entspannen möchte, wird man mit einer herrlichen Aussicht auf den Golfo dell' Asinara verwöhnt. Castelsardo ist das Ferienziel der Anglona - einer Subregion östlich von Sassari. Es gibt Augenblicke die sind magisch, die sind so schön, dass man sie nie vergessen wird. Wann immer die Sehnsucht kommt, drüberlesen!
Der Himmel färbt sich rot, die Strahlen der untergehenden Sonne tauchen die aus Lavasteinen erbaute Festung von Castelsardo in ein eigentümliches Licht. Von den Terassen an der Kathedrale eröffnet sich ein gewaltiger Blick auf den gesamten Golfo dell'Asinara und die langgestreckte Halbinsel von Stintino. Das Panorama verrät, weshalb die Genuesen einst auf dem steilen Felsvorsprung ihre Festung errichtet haben: von hier aus hat man einen Überblick über die Meerenge zwischen Sardinien und Korsika - bei guter Sicht kann man selbst die Küste der Nachbarinsel erblicken.
