It's been in the works ever since the Honda Insight went out of production in 2006, but this is the first time the 2010 Honda Hybrid Sedan has been caught out in the open. Designed as a direct competitor to the forthcoming 2010 Toyota Prius, this new Honda hybrid sedan is expected to debut early next year.
The styling is intended to mimic Honda's FCX Clarity, a hydrogen-powered sedan that Honda began leasing to the public this summer. The Clarity fuel-cell vehicle is closer in size to Honda's Accord sedan while this hybrid will fall somewhere between the Accord and the smaller Civic.
More important, this new hybrid sedan is expected to cost less than the Civic sedan. In a press conference earlier this year, Honda CEO Takeo Fukui told reporters that although the company's Prius fighter won't have next-generation lithium-ion batteries, the batteries it will use are lighter and more powerful than the current nickel-metal hydride variety.
John Mendel, executive vice president of American Honda, added, "These new advancements in Honda's technology and production systems will result in cost reductions that will allow us to make hybrid technology available to a whole new generation of buyers."
In other words, even if the new 2010 Honda Hybrid is seen as nothing more than a Prius knockoff, it could still do well in the marketplace based on its rock-bottom price alone.
Add in the fact that it could realistically get 45-50 mpg and this new entry-level hybrid sedan could eclipse the Prius as the best-selling hybrid in America ? that is, it will be if Honda decides to bump up production. At the moment, Honda expects to ship only 100,000 units to the U.S. per year beginning in the fall of 2009. If gas prices continue on their current trajectory, however, that number could be just the start.

Die La Honda Boys, bekannt geworden an der Seite von Eko Fresh beim German Dream Evangelium, ließen im Hiphop.de Video-Interview (Video unten) nicht viel Gutes an Bushido: er habe ihnen gegenüber sein Wort gebrochen und sei Schuld an den enttäuschenden Verkaufszahlen Ekos - dieser soll Bushido sämtliche Texte von drei Alben geschrieben haben, bevor Kay One für 7 die Rolle des Chef-Ghostwriters übernahm.
Eigentlich ging es bei der Streetcinema

Fight Night in Köln um die absolut unterhaltsame Mischung von Rap und Kickboxen, angesprochen auf Ekos bislang enttäuschende Ekaveli-Verkaufszahlen, platzte Bero Bass und OJ Kingpin aber der Kragen. Für sie liegt der eher schwache Charteinstieg Ekos auf Platz 100 eindeutig an mangelnder Unterstützung seines Labels ersguterjunge, die mit dem aktuellen Labelsampler Alles Gute kommt von unten in den ersten Trendcharts Platz 1 belegen konnten.
Auch sonst fanden sie harte Worte für den Labelchef ihres Labelchefs, Bushido muss sich Bezeichnungen wie "schwuler Hund" gefallen lassen.
Grund für die harten Ansagen soll auch ein gebrochenes Versprechen sein: laut La Honda hatte Bushido ihnen im (Telefon-)Gespräch mit Eko einst zugesagt, ihr Album Gorillas im Nebel zu veröffentlichen. Das Album erschien dieses Jahr schließlich independent über German Dream. Bero Bass und OJ Kingpin fühlen sich nun nicht nur betrogen, sondern darüber hinaus auch ihres Images beraubt: Unter anderem habe Bushido die Maske, die er im 7-Artwork trägt, von OJ Kingpin abgeschaut.
Mindestens ebenso spektakulär sind wohl die Aussagen über Ekos Rolle bei ersguterjunge: er soll dort bei drei Alben für sämtliche Texte Bushidos verantwortlich gewesen sein, bevor der Job des Chef-Ghostwriters für 7 an Ex-Dreamer und jetzt-egjer Kay One ging. Derartige Gerüchte waren bisher immer von allen Seiten zurück gewiesen worden.

19 skydivers will have three minutes and 20 seconds to spell out the word Honda, inspired by the car manufacturer's new advertising strapline: "Difficult is worth doing".
Organisers were yesterday hoping the weather in Spain would hold as the team practised. "There will be no time delay and no CGI [computer-generated imagery]. If it works, people will know who it's for. If it doesn't, they won't," said Ian Armstrong, Honda's manager of customer communications.
The stunt is a means of gaining publicity for Honda's new multi-million pound ad campaign, which features 45 skydivers promoting the Honda Accord by creating a series of shapes over the Mojave desert to reflect new features on the car.
