Amy Hadley of News8Austin goes for a Tandem!
This is the second attempt to take News8Austin's Amy Hadley for a tandem flight during her "Fit For Friday" segment. A prior attempt left her grounded due to weather. Hey, second time's a charm, right?
Amy and pilot Paul Greenwood (instructor for Paraglide Texas) released from the tow line at 2200' above the ground and flew for 20 minutes. Amy took in a unique and beautiful view of Austin TX and the surrounding area. Now, she's ready to go on a cross country flight! "Ohhhhhh Paul... let's go fly!"

Mike Wykoff goin' XC from Wells
Mike Wykoff sets up and launches via tow winch from Wells Lane in the Manor Texas area, on the northeast side of Austin Texas. Watch Mike launch via tow winch, and ride with him on his leisurely cross country (XC) flight. We generally release from the tow line from 1000' to 2000' above the ground. Watch for his shadow as he approaches the LZ, a field he chose during flight. Enjoy!
