High wind t/o & "safety riser" kill of wing.
One of a number of short clips filmed to show a high wind launch and "Safety Riser" killing on the wing on landing. Dave Massie, wrong (AGAIN!) at TC 0:06 you see the wing on the ground FILMED BY ME IN THE AIR....
Dave try and grasp the fact that only one of us is making a whole load of errors... it is the one that supports training that keeps injuring & killing UK pilots... My planet by the way is the Earth the same as your planet, the diffrence is I have a solid grasp of the physics involved in PG flight you clearly, based on your 'statments' do not.
PS. The Skywalk is Ok (I've flown a few of their gliders) but I would not personaly buy as the handling is so/so.
In the side slip (a Vectored one in this clip) the aircraft's HEADING (the way the 'front' of the wing pointing)is almost exactly 90* to the wind direction...
Yet the glider is NOT being pushed towards the ridge at 15kts as it is (almost) totaly flying SIDEWAYS... in a Vectored 'Side Slip', i.e. the 'front' of the wing is in fact the tip of the wing...
Remember it is EASY to cut PG accident rates by up to 95%, just start to fly using science!
