The flying sites to the northwest are quite a distance from Perth. It usually becomes very hot and inhospitable. However the area simply offers simply some of the best flight zones in the entire west. The Pilbara region is over 1500km north of Perth. Here one finds the Hamersley Ranges, with Western Australia highest point, the Mount Meharry. The pilot couple that live below there, report from heights to 16000 feet. High potential!
