Very nice high beach with a southwest wind.

Flug
In SSW-direction, the highest dunes are only suited to serve the Paraglider. With sufficient wind from WSW until SW, you can even fly as far as Quinn's Rock's Marina.
There is a possibility, that the Council Rangers can forbid flying here. This site is situated on a public beach with beautiful nature: pay attention therefore please to beach visitors and the vegitation.

Anfahrt:
You will find Burns Beach shortly before the small town of Quinn's, in the north of Joondalup. Take the Hodges Drive exit from the Freeway north into the Marmion Ave, then west on the Burns Beach Road. Parking is simply at the end of the street. The dunes are north from there! He who wishes to make his vehicle dirty, can go further with 4-wheel drive..

Beautiful beach site next to Perth. Suited however only for the very experienced Paraglider, not for the beginner due to the street directly across from the beach and the many spectators. Since September 2003 it became provisionally blocked (state May 2004!)
