One witnesses has stated that when they examined Olli's harness,
before I got a chance to look it it, the backup did in fact go through the small
slots in the back plate (where as I just have Velcro there as does Olli's
harness now). And that when this problem was pointed out to Olli, he was able to
reroute the backup through the main slot under the slider.


Olli's harness has a thick carabineer on his backup. Mine does not as it is
directly connected and sewn. It was surmised that because Andy got a new riser
from Skyline for his direct connect system, he had a thick carabineer also like
Olli on his backup inside the harness.


This witness also states that the backup was broken not at the location of the
main but as Damein stated, where it could have been cut by the breaking carbon
fiber back plate.


On Andy's harness, unlike mine, according to this witness  (and according
to Damien) the riser was very stiff right above the slider, while mine is
flexible there with just a little bit of stitching to secure the riser around
the slider. With a stiff riser wear near the top of the slider could have taken
place much faster.


It appears as though my year old Skyline harness does not suffer from the
problems that were identified on Andy's harness.
