Number of pilots in paraglider meets

Australia has the simplest proposal:
Australia proposes that the minimum team size for all countries is
three for category 1 events.
We also propose that country team scores be based on the total of three team
pilots’ scores for each round. The three pilots that will count for team scores
will be required to be nominated at registration and those pilots remain the
team scorers for the duration of the event.
France (Stephane Malbos, former CIVL Bureau member, French CIVL
delegate) has an elaborate proposal for team size. The Swiss propose:
For all FAI Cat 1 Competitions we shall use the “5+2” – Rule
(local Regulations from the 10th FAI PG World Championships, §15), witch have
been used since several years with success. With two Changes:
a) Every Team has to determine 3+1 Pilot witch will count every day for the Team
Ranking before the Start of the Competition.
b) The team score shall be determined from the total scores of the top 2 pilots
calculated on each scoring day (§ 9.2).
