Fire above Mt. Beauty

Residents in eastern Victoria have been told to prepare for one of
the worst bushfire weekends in the state's history. Community meetings are under
way as the situation worsens. Residents in affected regions are currently
deciding whether to stay or leave as fires approach a number of communities.
The Country Fire Authority (CFA) is warning that some of the fires could join to
form one massive 600,000-hectare blaze by the weekend.

This is a photo from Emu launch seen from Mt Beauty. At the moment we only have
the smoke and black leaves falling from the sky. The winds are favourable for us
and neither the launch nor the town are in danger at the moment. This could
change any second though.

It's raining burnt Eucalyptus leaves here in Wandiligong (Bright).
Visibility is less than a mile and the fires are making their own weather...
