I understand the need to have an Adobe Illustrator format after seeing this
demo. Very nice tool to define an image based on vector graphics, so the result
is perfectly scalable afterwards.

But I ask that this requirement be dropped, here is why:

* Only an very small portion of the population have software which can produce
an Illustrator format.

* This work only needs to be done for the winning logo, but not duplicated for
every submission.

* Requiring this Illustrator format for each submission may very well turn off
people with good ideas from submitting their ideas.

* At this point, we should be focused on selecting the best concept, not one's
ability to produce a finished product.

* How much time are we really saving by having a graphic artist transform the
single winning logo into Illustrator format after the contest: Only a day or
two? From the Illustrator demo it seemed like something that could be done
within a few hours (vectorizing a bitmap image). That would be insignificant
compared to the duration of the contest
