Dalby Big Air - day 3
The results are here later: http://www.soaringspot.com/2008dba/.
Seven pilots made goal at 163 km out at Dulacca with a turnpoint at Chinchilla, up highway A2. Cameron Tunbridge was the fastest flying with Kieran Brown who came in second. The winds were string out of the east southeast, with one pilot getting to 8,000'. I found cloud base at above 7,000'.
The clouds were much better (more of them, thicker) earlier in the day, and got thinner late in the afternoon. Lift was light for me, but in some cases quite strong for others. The forecast from the RASP seemed to be right on.
