The Russians have shown up with five pilots and five Aeros gliders. Maybe I've got them wrong. Looks like they paid for their slots at the pre-Worlds already. Maybe they are ready to compete.

Bobby Bailey is here having left his home at Quest Air in Florida just a couple of days ago. Bruce and Blaino from Dalby are towing folks up also. Pilots are having good flights and some are doing thirty kilometer out and returns.

The reports from Dalby are that the flying was really good a few days ago (for the first time this season) while Jonny was in Wanaka, New Zealand for the air show. Wolfie broke his collar bone and hurt his ribs foot launching behind the tug so the pilots at Dalby didn't have retrieval for the 500 kilometers that were apparently possible on that day.

Jonny says that the big low up there and the high further to the south made for strong winds heading to the west right down the road from Dalby.
