First a disclaimer. I rewrote the first Flytec USA Flytec 5030 manual. When I got it it was an English sailplane pilot's translation of the original German manual from Brauniger. Brauniger manuals were well known to be awful (I remember my IQ manual) and this was no exception. The sailplane pilot didn't help much.

Belinda, my wife, did subsequent edits on it, as did Steve Kroop from Flytec USA, as the 5030 was updated with new firmware. This special 5030 manual was available only to Flytec USA customers. Others who purchased the Flytec 5030 (or 5020) from other distributors had to make do with the rather poor manual that originally came from Brauniger.

With the release of the 5020 and now the 6030 Steve and Belinda have rewritten and edited those manuals. The new Flytec USA version of the 6030 manual has just become available to Flytec USA customers (it only comes when you purchase a Flytec 6030 from Steve and it is not available separately). It is much improved over the original (and only) Brauniger Compeo+ manual (also renamed as the Flytec 6030 manual on the international Flytec web site in Switzerland).

So if you would like a superior manual that actually helps you understand this complex flight computer then I suggest (again, see disclaimer above) that you purchase your 6030 though Flytec USA. Do not write to Steve and ask to purchase the manual separately. He has told me that he does not wish to receive any emails asking to purchase the manual separately.
