Dizzy?

We had great weather for flying the past three days but I couldn't fly as I was feeling really dizzy at times especially when my head was at certain angles. I thought I was having a heart attack or something. I saw the doctor and he said I had Benign Positional Vertigo. In your inner ear you have fluid that flows over small hairs and at the tops of these hairs are small particles and sometimes they come off. This debris bumps around in your inner ear and the brain picks up on this and it throws you off.
The cure is to do the Epley Manouver http://www.tchain.com/otoneurology/disorders/bppv/epley/first.html In a day to a week the particles settle and dissolve and you feel normal again. I'm sure a lot of people get this from time to time and they falsely attribute it to sleeping wrong or booze etc. Discuss Dizzy? at the Oz Report forum
