2006 Paragliding Nationals in Sun Valley, Idaho - day four
The results appear here:
http://www.flysunvalley.com/USNPC/results.html.
The winds got even higher today with the winds at the top of the lift forecasted
to be 50 knots. Wind speeds were measured at 17 mph gusting to 39 mph at top of
the ski hill.
We called the task early. The front came through today and tomorrow there will
be a higher pressure centered over us. Looks like light winds are in our future.
Unlike other locations there is plenty of recreational activities to engage in
when not flying. We are having a great time on the very extensive bike path
network. Other pilots went down to Twin Falls to base jump off the bridge over
the Snake River (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perrine_Bridge).
Pilots are still very excited about the task on the second day, the longest
called and made task in a US paragliding contest.
