My local transportation is now 90% or more by bike -- a big change for me this year. Had I realized sooner how fun, comfortable, invigorating and empowering it is, I would have done this years ago. You might say I'm a born-again cycling evangelist!

I'm lucky to live in Lawrence, Kansas where most destinations are an easy ride, and I now see that getting around by car is just downright silly. Check out www.icebike.com if you haven't discovered it yet -- lots of good information about riding through the winter.

I recently found the goggles I've been looking for all my life at a Harley Davidson store (http://www.questiongravity.com/misc/goggles.jpg). They fit extremely well over my eyeglasses and are super comfortable and stylish. They're well vented, and so far no fogging detected (the coldest I've ridden in so far is 40F). Available in clear, green/brown, and yellow. They nestle great into a helmet. Should be great for hang gliding. Amazingly, they are only $16!
