Attention all pilots and visitors of Stanwell Park

Yesterday, after relaxing on the beach for half an hour at Stanwell Park we had our car (Silver Subaru Forester Reg. Victoria RDC 456) stolen. After chatting with some local pilots, thefts and stolen vehicles are becoming a regular occurrence in both Sydney and surrounds. There have also been other incidents within the last two weeks at the Stanwell Park car park.

We would like to make you aware that you should never leave valuables in the car at any time. Please keep an eye out for suspicious behavior and look around when leaving your vehicle, this may avoid damage and/or loss of your gear/car.

We are now missing a new hang gliding harness (Skyline Zero Drag FR - Yellow with blue and grey stripes), instruments (Vario Renschler Sol 17 red housing and Renschler Solario, GPS Garmin 76 S and Garmin 12, Garmin Fortrex 101, Helmets Plusmax and Skyline Aero white, Skyline Gloves black and Blueye Googles red, Skyline Windstopper black and Skyline Speedarms blue. Further on our Nikon Camera Equipment (Nikon D1X with different lenses, Flash, Chargers, etc.) was also in the car not to mention snorkeling equipment and other personal items! Should you be offered any items in whole or part, please contact us or the police immediately and try and get some details of the culprits.
