Hey, I'm a Simpsons' character!! I received this rather unique birthday gift recently and thought I'd share.

It was given to me by a client and close friend with whom I work. She's a commercial TV producer / director, and as it happens, buddies with Simpsons' TV series artist Phil Ortiz. Figuring I must be pretty into it (from years of having to endure my hang gliding stories) and knowing I'm a Simpsons' fan, she somehow managed to get me this "tandem flight" with Homer himself for my birthday! I was stunned...

It is so weird to see oneself as a Simpsons' character (I'm the one in the turtleneck sweater and scraggly goatee!) Homer looks pretty excited with his hair all blowing in the wind eh. Looks to be a WW Super Swallowtail circa 1975 we're flying.

The bird diving through the sail is a reference to another passion of mine, it's suppose to be a peregrine falcon. Anyway, thought you might get a kick out of seeing my new flying buddy! Don't tell Marge and the kids, or the USHPA, but I'm not tandem rated... Doh!
