While flying my Discus out of Lone Pine (CA) on September 1st this year I noticed a rigid wing circling above the airport upon my return after a 600 km flight. I thought I'd have a little fun and zoomed under him at about 100 knts with a big pull up.
After landing, I walked over to the rigid pilot only to find that it was my old flying buddy, Bruce Barmakian. It turns out that Bruce had just flown 168 miles from Crestline. I believe he was flying with Tony Deleo who landed some way back. A great flight and a new Crestline distance record. Discuss Crestline at the Oz Report forum
