This is pretty much a travel log to the Ridge Race Site with the best of Dustin's screwing around thrown in. I'm hoping this attracts a bunch of free spirited pilots to drag themselves down to Ecuador.

Most Ecuador's pilots can barely afford a good used hang glider with harness, equipment. They really need used equipment in good shape. If you're planning on coming down bring e a good used wing for a one-way trip. It will find a appreciative new home for a deserving pilot, for sure!

I hope the fun of the place doesn't get effected by a bunch of tech heads and waypoint pushing competition pilots. I'm a tech head without a lot of competition experience. This year I'll bring a used wing to sell.

The Ecuador pilots atmosphere reminds me of hang gliding in the 80's when everything and everybody found hang gliding to be something very new and exciting indeed, a rebound resurrection of the hang gliding sprit of old.

If you go to Canoa I believe you'll get extra points in hang gliding heaven if you bring a used wing and sell it, making a very good friend, instead of bringing your LightSpeed and dragging home another trophy. Ether way, just go no matter what you fly!
