Why scooter towing instruction
... It's the first day ...

Yesterday was one of those great days which keep me going as an instructor--the notoriously fickle Maine weather relented and let me get a class in with both paraglider and hang glider first-timers. The low and slow scooter tow system easily accommodates both at the same time--all I have to do is put a weaklink on the tow ring at the end of the line for the paraglider bridles. All students got at least a half dozen nice, in control flights and even started chomping at the bit for turns and flares by the end of the day--amazing for a first day! I've come to realize that getting a great first day is a big factor in student retention for long term commitment to the sports. Discuss Scooter Towing at the Oz Report forum
