A new hang gliding school can use the public boat launch in the town of Lyndon, the town's board decided at a meeting on Thursday.

The new school, Hang Glide the Dells, will teach hang gliding over the Upper Dells of the Wisconsin River. It will begin instructing students by the third week in July, said the school's owner, Dan McManus.

Dan Hannula, a Tommy Bartlett's employee since 1998 and a hang glider pilot since 2000, is a partner in the school. He will be driving the boat that will tow the hang gliders.
