We all flew. Larry Tudor is here. He didnt fly. I took off just
before 10, I was first to ping off and only made it about 20 km. Most of the
crew bombed about 40-80 km. Donizete was the only one to get out, he landed
about 140km out on purpose as the winds eased off and wasnt flying fast.
Shortly after 1130 quite a bit of high level cloud came in and the streets
evaporated, pretty thick stratus but Donizete said it was working fine. But it
got everyone else (he was out front, got just ahead of the shut down I think).
Day before (Saturday) I think was pretty classic conditions, just on the light
side for wind so our pace wasnt great (first couple hours up near 50km/hr, but
then wind backed off and we were averaging 45+-). Big cell later in the day blew
up to our west and shaded the whole area, so ended early. All flights are on
XContest, but the short ones like yesterday I dont think anyone put anything
up.
