CompeGPS and Google Earth
... The Google Earth functionality is gone in the latest update. ...

There seems to be an issue of copyright between Google Earth and
CompeGPS: CompeGPS states that they "don't have access to Google Earth anymore",
but rumors say they are no longer allowed to use Google Earth. When you update
CompeGPS to a newer version, you seem to loose the ability to display Google
Earth maps, you always get "overzoom". CompeGPS claims that "there is no
solution yet", but previous version of ComeGPS, if they have not been updated,
seem to work still.
Seems that CompeGPS is "destroying" the ability to display Google Earth maps
during an update without telling you before hand!
Does anyone know something more detailed about it? "Over-installing" an older
version (e.g. 6.31 over 6.4, the current version) does not bring back the Google
Earth pictures.
The policy or reaction of CompeGPS seems to be at least questionable regarding
customer support, but I don't want to judge before I know the background.
I wrote to Ivan Twose last week and didn't get a reply.
