We get a chance to defend ourselves after Anatoly's blatant
twisting and misrepresentation of the facts.

would like to shed some light on the incident involving Adam Wechsler after
reading Anatoly Kohn's post.



First, the incident in question took place in the Manara site, which is a
closed
site. Since we have issues regarding the safety of the site (the take off is
small and has many trees) we forbid association pilot flying there.
Therefore,
it is not as Anatoly says "popular among local paragliding pilots,
despite being
located in the far North."



Furthermore, Adam was flying there because of his job as a test pilot for
Apco,
a fact which Anatoly seems to gloss over (or flat out ignore). He was not
there
flying with "his mate Ittai Tackersman..." Ittai Tackserman is
also an Apco
employee, by the way, and was also there in his a capacity as an Apco
employee.




I have no disagreement with Anatoly's description of the events, however
Apco
did not have "to hire a lawyer to convince the judge to let him go
free", rather
Apco had to hire a lawyer to defend an Apco employee who was being charged
for
something he had done while performing his job.



And finally the IPA is not "sweating hard trying to find a scapegoat to
prosecute." We are not involved in this issue which is between Apco and
the
Civil Aviation Authority. Just because Adam happens to be an IPA member does
not
make us responsible for his actions during Apco test flights.
