No hang gliding bids
... No bids for the rigid wing, Swift and Women's Worlds in 2008 ...
And no bids were received by the CIVL Plenary this month for these
classes for 2009 in Europe. What this means is that there will not be a rigid
wing World Championship until at least 2010, unless something extraordinary
happens.
There apparently is a bid for the 2007 Class 1 Worlds in France. Hopefully there
will be more information about this when the full minutes of the CIVL Plenary
come out on the 22nd.
With no separate women's worlds, this means that the team at the next Class 1
Worlds in 2009 will include two women. They may be 6 pilots + two women.
