From the paragliding forum:

OFFICIAL PMA STATEMENT RE. ENZO 2 FLOWN IN THE PWC SUPERFINAL IN
GOVERNADOR VALADARES

Proved fact is that the Enzo 2 flown in the PWC Superfinal did not have
certification at the time of the beginning of the competition.

Proved fact is that Ozones statement that the Enzo 2 flown in the PWC Superfinal
does comply with the certification test sample was not correct. A 40cm
difference in the trailing edge length cannot be regarded as compliant. If a
tolerance is not specified it must be assumed it is close to zero and not that
it is infinite, the state of the art must be respected.

Proved fact is also that a trailing edge length difference of 40cm is not „a
small change“ and requires a new certification.

Fact is that the PWCA rules should have been followed immediately. It was clear
after measuring the Enzo 2 of SF pilots, that it does not comply with the test
sample and as such the Enzo 2 flown in the competition could not be regarded as
a certified glider.

Fact is also that the PMA has it statutes and rules and the PMA will follow
these statutes.

Art 10 of the PMA statutes says:

"All members are expected to conduct business in an honest and moral way. This
means that all publications in any form, from members should be truthful. This
is particularly important in the subject of certification and safety issues.
Publications in this instance include but is not limited to: - websites - forums
- advertising in any form - letters and emails - press releases. This moral
obligation applies equally to other areas of business activity, such as company
law, employment and financial matters.“

The PMA asks for the PWC Superfinal results not to be validated. The facts are
all clear and there.

The PMA decides that Ozone lose their voting rights for 12 month.

Mike Cavanagh gives back his position in the PMA board of directors.

Ozone oblige themselves to pay 5000 Euros to the PWCA or to a charity
organization.

The vacant position in the PMA board of directors will be taken by Bruce
Goldsmith until the next PMA board of directors will be voted for in the next
PMA annual general meeting in 2014.
