The
day was overcast with rain showing up on the radar (http://www.alpineinfotech.com.au/Weather/Weather_02.htm)
near by. No rain in the valley at Mt. Beauty, and Heather said that there are
often days were the sun comes out in the afternoon, even though it is cloudy in
the morning.


After three meetings at the Settlers Tavern Heather decided to send us up the
hill and at 1:10 PM we were on top at Emu 1, watching the wind come up the
launch for good launches, and the clouds spitting a bit of rain at us. We hung
around until about 2 PM with a little rain on and off, but a few scattered
clouds forming below launch elevation out in the valley and on the hill side on
the opposite side of the valley, and dark leaden skies above us.


Finally, a little after 2 PM Heather called the day. By the time we got down (2:40 PM),
the sky had cleared up and there were six pilots circling over the Emu 2 launch. 
Heather was right about the sun coming out in the afternoon and it turning into
a taskable day.


By 4:40 PM the sky again was overcast.
