The Memphis Flyers have relocated our platform tow operations to a
site near Pakin, Arkansas for our southwesterly flow days. It puts us right in
the middle of a corridor of land known as the Mississippi Delta Flood Plain. It
consist of agriculture type real estate that stretches from Lake City Arkansas
to Cape Gererdeau, Missouri, about 250 miles of unrestricted cross country
potential. At about thirty miles wide the whole place is one big landing field.
In the spring of 2013 we are hoping to invite around ten pilots to come for the
"1st Annual Eastern Arkansas Tow Jam", an cross country event to introduce
pilots to the potential this area has to offer. There is a sailplane port in
Cherry Valley within thirty miles of our area of operations. Here's a video to
give you a view of the area.
