The competition committee has voted for the King Mountain Nationals. Open distance event. No GAP, no race to goal. Cheap.

If this season we had a "nationals" in Lakeview, we are going to have even a worse "nationals" in 2009. I just wish that they had scheduled it during the Worlds. I will not be going to it for sure.

This event was chosen for the sponsors, not for the pilots. For the "exposure" to maybe, perhaps, might be, vaguely referred to by the meet organizer (Lisa Tate) media attention, maybe.

I'll have more to say on this disastrous decision in the coming week. There is a lot more dirt yet to be exposed on the shenanigans of the USHPA.
