Lake Elsinore Plea for donations for judicial appeal

The Rochester Area Flyers Hang Gliding and Paragliding Club received a letter from the Elsinore Hang Gliding Association with a plea for donation to support them in their efforts to retain their primary LZ at Lake Elsinore.
The RAF BOD decided to support EHGA in their struggle to retain this historic flying site and to keep it available for all current and future paragliding and hang gliding pilots. Every Hang Gliding and Paragliding club in this country is in constant danger of losing their flying sites to development companies. This poses a serious threat to all of us, because it is eroding our means to fly. The RAF feels that we should support each other in our efforts to keep our flying sites open.
The EHGA will need approximately $10,000 to appeal the judge's ruling. If every USHPA member donates only $1 to $2, they will receive sufficient funding for this appeal. The RAF decided to donate $120, which is $2 for each RAF member.
We are hoping that this appeal will finally resolve the longstanding debate over the Elsinore LZ and that it will remain open and available for all forms of free flight in the future.
