Regarding the vote last Spring that almost sunk the Big Spring Internationals, a reader writes:

You neglected to point out one important point in your article about the USHPA Spring BOD meeting. The financial information that was "missing" from David Glover's bid was a budget - something that is rarely, if ever, provided in competition bids received and reviewed by the USHPA.

Dave queried the office and none of last year's bids included a budget. Dave also looked through the USHPA Competition Rulebook and could find no requirement for a budget to be included with a proposal for sanctioning. So not only is there a conflict of interest (by the Competition Committee Chairman), there is very egregious double-standard applied to David.
