We're staying at On the River RV Park, at the Western Idaho Fairgroundsin Garden City next to Boise, next to the Greenbelt and the bicycle path along the river (see here). The path along the river provides great bicycling opportunities (if you don't go too fast) and is great for commuting to downtown.

It looks like there has been a long time plan to have a longer path but it is stymied by folks who think that public property is their private property (if not all property is theft, it is clear that some is). This effects the trail that is just next to me.

COG appeared before the Land Board on Aug 19. They will have a decision on this when they have a legal opinion from the Attorney General's office. Please e-mail them now and ask them to take action to assure Garden City complies with the State mandate that the Boise River Greenbelt in Riverside Village be open to bike riding.
