I landed on the west side of Mt Borah near Manilla, and as soon as I’d landed the cows ran straight over to me. I had to get out of the swift quickly as I didn’t know if the cows were going to eat the glider or step on it. I had to chase them away before I took off again.

We have had a good wet winter this year and the early spring flying has been good so far. The photo is from Wednesday and cloudbase was at 2000 meters and climbs were 2-4 meters/second The area is beautiful at the moment with lots of green paddocks and the smaller dams are full. Temperatures are up to 25 degrees Centigrade during the good days, most the days are now good.

Should be a good summer.
