I came home from Greifenburg last Monday night, where I had been to the DHV Junior and Ladies Challenge. That is a comp for competition beginners, especially for girls, and guys who are not older than 28 years of age. It showed me once more how few hang glider pilots there are, and when it comes to comps, there are even less. So we were four guys and two girls. There was the paragliding Challenge at the same time - with 80 pilots altogether. We were not very lucky with the weather - we had two practice days, but only one of them was reasonably good, and three task days. We could only fly two out of them. And one of the two days was a gliding angle competition, as there was no lift at all.
