Rob Kells succumbed to his illness on August 9th in Austria where he had gone with Trish, his wife, for treatment. Rob had made known his condition for the last two years and made strenuous effort to fight against the cancer, see here: http://willswing.com/flystrong.asp. But these types of cancers are fast growing and really tear down your immune system. And, of course, cancer treatments also wreck havoc on your immune system.

Belinda remembers Rob as a person who made every pilot feel important. She remembers how encouraging he was to her when she was flying.

I remember Rob as a great ambassador for the sport and for his company. He was a great supporter of the Oz Report and of me, as well as many other pilots. In the last few years he worked hard to develop a group of pilots who were proud to fly the top of the line Wills Wing glider in competition and do very well. For example, Dustin Martin won the first two US competitions this year on a Wills Wing T2 144.

Rob, Steve, Mike and Linda formed a great partnership at Wills Wing and I'm sure that they feel the loss of their friend and president deeply. I hope that all pilots around the world can express their sympathies to Rob's friends and family.
