Big Spring after seven years, and the World Championships, wants us back. Yes, they really like us here. They do so much work for us and really support hang gliding here, at the airport especially. Quite a conversion from jet fighter pilot training site to hang gliding competition arena.

The pilots who come here love this spot. The flying is safe and phenomenal. David is quite willing to come back here and put on another competition (although he wants to limit the total numbers so that we don't over strain the hangar and the tug resources).

The only question is, will the USHPA cooperate and do what the competition pilots want? Will they dither again? Will they not recognize the reality here?

Let's hope that they get it together.
