Just to be clear, I am not a factory supported pilot. In competitions I fly and rent Moyes Litespeeds, Airborne C4's, and the Wills Wing T2C 144's. A couple of the pilots in this photo do receive a small amount of support from Wills Wing (the use of a glider in competition). I feel compelled to write this because I repeatedly receive emails from pilots who get the wrong impression (like from this picture).
I am very happy to fly a T2C-144, but likewise I am very pleased to fly the Airborne and Moyes gliders. Modern hang gliders are wonderful. I have flown Aeros and Icaro gliders and found them also to be great gliders. We are blessed to have such manufacturers supplying our little sport.
I am loyal to all the manufacturers, but as a reporter I tell it like it is. (See my many reports on the AIR ATOS, for example.) Again, I point this out as there seem to be some readers who are not familiar with the many past articles that I have written in the Oz Report, and get a mistaken impression. It has been going on for twelve years now, after all.
