A short film showing a few moments chosen about training that Alain Chauvet organizes there, with some splendid views of the region and the well-known actors (eg. Stella!).
The American team hosts the Australian team at Oz Report world headquarters (photo by Jeff O'Brien):
A superb blue day today but very light launching conditions. Pilots were able to get to 10,000' in the Laragne area (not necessary to go up into the Alps). Most of the US team declined to launch (or set up), as the winds were out of the west on launch (although they were southwest in the valley).
The opening ceremonies were pretty elaborate for a pre-Worlds, having the mayor (who just happens to own the campground) presenting prizes to school kids for their hang glider art. The meet organizers are very happy with the strong support that they are getting from the towns.
