WRE - this year is looking like a record year

I can report from Houston, close to the front line, that this is so far developing into a very different year in Texas compared to the last three or four. It is much drier (even here in Central Texas), all of west Texas except the panhandle is in drought and there has been so far a very good boundary layer wind alignment from surface to upper levels.
The last two weeks we've had cloud streets running from the Gulf Coast to northern Oklahoma. The wind direction and strength has been great also (today was reporting 15-25mph SSE on the ground from Zapata to Uvalde). The main complexity viz-a-viz the standard Zapata course line has been with the the eastern excursion of the dry line as far east as San Angelo, causing local over development and certainly terminating the postcard perfect streets.
Let's just hope the pattern holds or at least replicates going into July.
