Not so flat Kansas
Matthew Holevinski <<email>> writes:
For the record, Kansas is not flat, relative to the curvature of the Earth because the earth as a whole is flatter than a billiard ball. But when it comes to Kansas, depending on whether or not you judge flatness from highest point minus lowest point relative to sea level, or height differentially dependent upon square mileage of state, Kansas is not flat, it's not even in the top 10 flattest states, nor even the top 20 flattest states.
So the next time you want to talk about flat states talk about Florida, Illinois, Louisiana or hell even Delaware, because within the 48 contiguous states there are over 20 flatter than Kansas.
