Running RASP

The images are uploaded to my ISP, not served from the box that creates them, that's why they are quick (certainty a lot quicker than my upload speed could manage).
If your machine has enough memory to support both machines the performance hit of using a vm is not that high. My machine only has 1gb of ram, which is just enough to run windows xp and linux at the same time, works fine as long as you don't try and switch between the two machines too much, not a problem for me as my forecast run while I'm sleeping.
Would be a good setup for traveling pilots, could create a RASP forecast for the local area on your laptop when you arrive, if there is not a suitable one available.

I run a RASP forecast on a virtual machine running under Windows, works great, a lot faster than my three year old linux box. If anyone wants to set up a site like this please feel free to contact me.
My forecasts are from: http://users.on.net/~dsg/HG/weather.html
