I flew tandem with Cookie all week struggling in the light conditions while getting use to flying tandem again. We had many bomb outs and a few short flights. The second to last day of the comp I received my new tandem wing "Niviuk Takoo" and had a chance to put it to the test on the last day of the competition.

We flew for over 7 ½ hours and 227km for a new Australian Tandem Open distance record which was held by Godfrey Wennes. It was a flight ”that dreams are made of." A cloud street at the end of the day, that went as far as you could see. We were under the only clouds in the sky!!! We flew into the sunset. It was magic!!!
