I was down at the pub the other night to watch a replay of the New Zealand Airgames on the big screen, it was pretty spectacular. I'm hoping they'll release more of the actual footage. They did live camera feeds from the competing gliders (pilot's view) along with helicopter cameras and real time GPS tracking displayed SeeYou style with commentary, all beamed live to the big screen a couple miles away at the airport.
Hang gliding cross country and speed gliding, paragliding cross country and acro, Parachuting, Para-Swooping, Para-ski racing, Helicopters, Kit planes (like scale war birds), Aerobatic planes, Traditional Sailplanes, Paramotors and more. This was a big event. Heavily sponsored and promoted (in NZ).
