We spent a few hours on Friday clearing a small portion of the Lantana (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lantana ) growing on a small hill side next to the beach just south of Curt Warren's house in Coledale. Lantana is an invasive species here in Australia that out competes the native varieties. We were able to rescue a few of the native plants entangled in the Lantana and give them some room to grow. There is so much Lantana that clearing it all a way is a hopeless task.

Curt hopes to be able to use this hill side as a training spot in northeast conditions. There is a huge beach below.
