I just wanted to be clear again that I am using beta firmware on my 6030. It is not guaranteed to work, of course, but so far it has worked just fine, other than the altitude above goal around a turnpoint. The new arrows are a big improvement (if not perfect).

The error in the firmware with respect to goal altitude is in the released firmware also. This isn't a function of the beta firmware, at least that is my understanding.

Also I am not blaming this error in the firmware for not making goal on the third task at the Bogong Cup. That was completely my responsibility. I was an idiot.

Steve Kroop at Flytec USA would appreciate if I didn't report on beta firmware, as it is not a finished product, but I felt that I was reporting on the positive aspects of the beta firmware, and it was not to be angry with me for doing that. I didn't have any problem with beta firmware, other than the pre-existing incorrect calculation.
