A trip to the bone specialist in London last week has them puzzled, as the bone is not fixing too well. The outcome probably another operation. Four months on mountain biking, Paragliding, HG, Motor biking has now all been banned! That’s the whole summer gone because I was too lazy to buy some wheels!
Still when I look for the “rainbow” at least it was not my neck and I am walking.
If you don’t have wheels, maybe now is a good time to re-think?
The slight performance disadvantage in glide is heavily outweighed by your confidence to go XC knowing you can land almost anywhere. Robbie Whittal was one of the first to realise this when creating Ozone. He understood that relaxed pilots on DHV1-2 paragliders most often outperformed those on DHV3 or unrated hot-ships when going XC.
I have two pairs of lovely ATOS wheels – If you want them just shout, EURO 250 a pair. Superb bits of kit, robust, perfect for aerotowing.
