Day 6 and Day 7 of the competition were both non-taskable due to a forecast of strong winds (gusts up to 80km/hr) and thunderstorms in the flying area. After the weather briefing at the campground most pilots chose to go sightseeing or explore the beautiful area through hiking or biking. A few chose to free fly today and some found out how difficult it can be to get down from over 3000m quickly when the SW wind really gets stronger and the lift is 6 – 8m up when flying in a straight line.

A counter complaint was made by the Dutch team saying that the Day 5 task should have been scored. Wolfgang is in the process of contacting team leaders about this for further discussions.
