Pre-Europeans in Greifenburg - task four
... Overdevelopment "stops" the task. ...
The Results.
The meet is called the "Big Task." As I pointed out earlier, the size of the tasks weren't all that big, given that they were equivalent to the ones we were calling at the East Coast Championships, where 4,000' AGL was super high and 300 fpm was strong lift.
On this day (the fifth day) they called a big task, but it didn't work out. From the daily news:
The first start gate opened at 13.10 and there were 2 more at 20 minute intervals and with the middle gate mandatory for the top 30. Unfortunately, rapidly developing storms showing lightning, heavy rain and hail caused the task to be stopped at 15.05. Discuss pre-Europeans at the Oz Report forum
