Email from the USHPA to CIVL:

I am reaching out to let you know about the status of our last
remaining nationals event this year, the Hurricane Open. A condition of
retaining sanctioning for the event is obtaining insurance that meets minimum
coverage requirements for the various parties involved. Currently, the Hurricane
Open has not passed underwriting by the insurance company, but they are working
on making the necessary changes to be reconsidered for coverage. We hope the
organizers are able to successfully address those changes. In either case, I’ll
keep you informed about their USHPA sanctioning status since that impacts their
CIVL Cat 2 sanctioning status as well.
